I like this photograph because of the use of color. i think its interesting how everything around the subject is gray, but the girl has colorful clothing. it brings your eye into the photograph, keeping her the main focus.

I like this photograph because of the use of color. i think its interesting how everything around the subject is gray, but the girl has colorful clothing. it brings your eye into the photograph, keeping her the main focus.
Alec Soth
I like Soth's use of scale in this photograph. Making the bus small in the middle of the frame gives the feeling of the bus being stranded and that it is being engulfed by the land. the color of the bus complements the sky, and makes the bus stand out more.

this photograph stood out to me because even though there is a lot of objects in this photograph, the man is still the main focus. the pops of red on the table, pillows, phone, and cushions are framing the man, which also brings your eye into the photograph. i am also interested in this photograph because i am want to see what is in the room, and how it could relate to the figure in the photograph.
